For those of you who dont know, Jim and I met at Bourbon Blue through "Nick and Jeff" tuesdays. Jeff's the gutar player in my band "Big House" and Nick is a great friend, and fellow musician, in "Generation Next". NIck and Jeff play an acoustic duo every tuesday night at Bourbon Blue in Manayunk, PA. Jim was a regular there, since he lived 5 mintues away, while attending PCOM. I went periodically and must have met Jim at least 10 times before actually sitting and talking w/ him! To make a long story short, Jim took me by suprise when he asked me out. I agreed, and had the best date ever. We've been inseperable ever since!

I HATE weddings! Its a ton of money, and the bride and groom don't get to really enjoy it. I've been singing at weddings for alot of years, and I can't tell you how many times the Bride and Groom have come up to us and told us how upset they were that they didn't get to dance to the band, and didnt even get to eat or drink because they were so busy talking to people they barely knew. Its alot of stress, and I wanted something small and intimate, so we decided a destination wedding would be perfect. The only downside is that alot of our friends wont be able to take part because of financial concerns, or vacation time from work. But we undertsand, and we are very grateful to the guests that have booked their trip to share our day! The resort is absolutely beautiful! We're getting married at Secrets Maroma Beach Riviera Cancun in Mexico. We have a wedding coordinater there, Cecilia, who has made everything so easy for us to plan.
